LED Light Wavelengths

LED masks combine different colored lights, each with distinct effects on skin. Understanding which wavelengths do what helps you choose the right device for your concerns.

Light Colors & Effects

Red (630 nm)

Stimulates collagen, improves fine lines, reduces redness. Best for anti-aging and general skin health.

Blue (430-470 nm)

Antibacterial and sebum-reducing. Best for acne-prone and oily skin. Less evidence than red light.

Near-Infrared (800-1000 nm)

Deepest penetration; stimulates collagen and ATP. Best combined with red for comprehensive anti-aging.

Yellow (590 nm)

Reduces inflammation and redness. Useful for rosacea or sensitive skin.

Treatment Frequency

Typical mask use: 10-15 minutes, 3-5x per week for visible results in 6-8 weeks. Daily use doesn't provide additional benefits and can cause irritation.
